Paul Guiramand
Quentin (1926) - Paris ( 2007)
Paul Guiramand was a major figure of the figurative branch of La Nouvelle
Ecole à Paris, who combined the influence of Picasso and Matisse in a jubilatory
style of vivid colors.
Beginning in 1956 he became interested in etching and
initiated himself in lithography at the Mourlot workshop where he met Miro,
Chagall, Rebeyrolle and others. This technique remained very present in his work
throughout the rest of his life.
